JUNO partnerships help drive Canada’s cutting edge music scene as the award show travels for the first time since 2019

As part of its multi-year agreement, CBC returns as the Exclusive Broadcast and Content Partner for The JUNO Awards. Canadians can tune into the 2023 JUNO Opening Night Awards Presented by Music Canada at 6 p.m. MT/ 8 p.m. ET on Saturday, March 11 via CBCMusic.ca/junos, CBC Gem and globally on CBC Music’s Facebook and Youtube pages. The 2023 JUNO Awards, hosted for the second year by global superstar Simu Liu, will broadcast live from Rogers Place on Monday, March 13 at 6 p.m. MT/8 p.m. ET nationwide on CBC TV, CBC Radio One and CBC Music, and streamed live on CBC Gem, CBC Listen, and globally at CBCMusic.ca/junos, and CBC Music’s Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter pages.
CBC Music returns as presenting sponsor of JUNOfest, taking over intimate stages and bustling pubs across Edmonton for three jam-packed nights. JUNOfest Presented by CBC Music will showcase talent from coast-to-coast and across all genres, ranging from indie all-stars to dynamic jazz ensembles.
JUNO Cup Presented by CBC Sports returns for the first time since 2019. The celebrity hockey game pits musicians and professional athletes against each other in support of MusiCounts, Canada’s music education charity.
TD Bank Group, enters its 12th year of sponsorship and returns for the second time as Premier Sponsor, the highest designation presented to a sponsor.Again this year, TD has driven the TD JUNOS Submissions Access Program, which was created to support Canadian artists from underrepresented communities by helping with submission fees for the 2023 JUNO Awards. This year’s program funded almost 300 artist submissions, with 13 resulting in nominations including Francois Klark, Kairo McLean, Angelique Francis, Tommy Lefroy and more!Activating at beloved events including The JUNO Awards Broadcast and JUNO Fan Fare, TD will invite fans to pose with a real JUNO for a unique digital takeaway.On Canada’s biggest night in music, the TD Green Carpet will guide TD cardholders to a special Fly Past the Line entrance for quick access into Rogers Place.Lastly, for the third year in a row, TD will sponsor the Canadian Music Hall of Fame Induction and Performance, this year honouring Nickelback on The JUNO Awards Broadcast and will present an exclusive interview with Nickelback on TikTok. Canada’s leading audio entertainment company, SiriusXM Canada, returns as a Lead Sponsor. SiriusXM Canada will be at fan-favourite JUNO Week events including the JUNO Comedy Show Presented by SiriusXM Canada (Friday, March 10) and the JUNO Awards Broadcast (Monday, March 13), where Rap Album/EP of the Year Presented by SiriusXM Canada will be awarded. At the JUNO Opening Night Awards Presented by Music Canada, SiriusXM will present the Artist of the Year and Comedy Album of the Year categories.
Major music amplifier and entertainment platform TikTok returns as Lead Sponsor for the third year. After becoming the first-ever name in title partner of the JUNOS only fan voted award in 2022, TikTok returns with TikTok JUNO Fan Choice. TikTok provides the Official Voting Platform, allowing fans to vote in-app for their favourite JUNO-nominated artists or via TikTokJUNOFanChoice.ca for additional voting options. Voting is unlimited and fans are encouraged to vote by the minute, hour, day, and week for their favourite JUNO-nominated artists up until 9 p.m. EST the night of the broadcast March 13, 2022. The winner of TikTok JUNO Fan Choice will be announced live on the broadcast that evening.
Edmonton’s Best Hotels joins as a Lead Sponsor encouraging everyone to book their stay for 2023 JUNO Week via their website. The collective will also present Country Album of the Year at this year’s JUNO Opening Night Awards Presented by Music Canada and are conducting a contest for a chance to win a private rehearsal experience leading up to the JUNOS in addition to JUNOS tickets.
Amii (Alberta Machine Intelligence Institute) makes history as the first Official AI Partner of the 2023 JUNO Awards, presenting Rock Album of the Year and showcasing AI capabilities in music production at the JUNO Opening Night Awards Presented by Music Canada. Amii welcomes the visiting music industry to Edmonton and will present in-house produced programs showcasing the potential of AI and music, sound, and creative industry capabilities.

Tanqueray No. Ten Gin comes to Edmonton as the official spirits partner of the JUNO Awards with Diageo, now entering its third year of their partnership. James Grant, World Class Canada and Global Bartender of the Year 2021 and 100 Best Restaurants Bartender of the Year 2022, created and will be serving the “The Spotlight Fizz” (the official cocktail of the 2023 JUNOS) at select JUNO Week events. The JUNO Opening Night Awards Presented by Music Canada will also feature a toast to celebrate this year’s nominees with “The Spotlight Fizz.”

The organization will present this year’s award for Contemporary Indigenous Artist or Group of the Year at the JUNO Opening Night Awards Presented by Music Canada on Saturday, March 11. Destination Indigenous will also present the Indigenous Honouring Ceremony at the Royal Alberta Museum. Chef Scott Iserhoff will curate and prepare the food and beverage menu in the reception to follow. Performances from The Bearhead Sisters and Digging Roots will take place in addition to hosting a marketplace that will showcase Indigenous businesses and artisans from the region.
