Following JUNO-winning artist Aqyila’s sultry R&B rework, the second episode of Re/Worked: The Greedy Sessions takes a country turn with platinum-selling star Tebey. With his signature rich instrumentation and smooth vocals, Tebey transforms greedy into a fresh country anthem—out now.
Born in Ontario and now based in Nashville, Tebey is a powerhouse in the music industry. A platinum-certified artist, award-winning producer, and sought-after songwriter, he has penned hits for global stars like One Direction, Flo Rida, and Cher, even securing a U.S. Billboard #1 with Justin Moore’s “Somebody Else Will.”
In Re/Worked: The Greedy Sessions, Tebey puts his own spin on “greedy,” turning the pop hit into an emotive country ballad.
“For me, I try to make it sound different, and changing the groove of the song is the biggest part of it because that’ll give it its own identity,” Tebey explains. “At the end of the day, a great song should work in any genre, and this one definitely shines as a country song.”
His version features classic country elements—steel guitar, banjo, and acoustic guitar—while his stripped-down approach and smooth vocals bring a new perspective to the track. The result? A fresh yet familiar take on greedy that seamlessly blends country authenticity with the song’s original charm.
