The Color is a 4 piece band, from Manitoba, that includes Jordan Janzen (lead vocals), James Shiels (guitar/vocals), Larry Abrams (lead guitar/vocals) and Tyson Unrau (drums). Following their debut release in March 2012, band co-owners Janzen and Shiels decided to self-book a Western Canada tour to cover the costs of the album. In 2012 they began with 25 shows. In 2013 they played 35. In 2014 they played 75 and since 2015 they continued with a consistency of 120 shows a year, throughout Canada. With a mandate to bring hope and encouragement through each song and concert, The Color has intentionally combined a pop sound with a heavy tour ethic to become one of the busiest touring acts in Canada. Highlights for the band have included winning 8 GMA Covenant Awards, landing five #1 singles on Canadian Christian radio, touring with Grammy-nominated Building 429 in November 2016 and travelling from coast to coast across their home country. As the band continues to tour and create music with a positive message, they are on the front end of an International release plan that has begun with their first US single 'Surprise', released July 2017.
