Brian Dickinson is a two-time JUNO Award-winning pianist. His CD, In Transition was chosen as Best Jazz Recording in 1991, and he was named 1993 Composer of the Year by The Jazz Report. Dickinson has excelled as a composer and musician, working with internationally recognized jazz luminaries on radio shows and at jazz festivals across North America. Master bassist George Mraz arrived at Boston’s Berkelee School of Music in the late 60s on a scholarship from the Czech Republic and a year later found himself on the road with Dizzy Gillespie followed by tenures with Oscar Peterson, The Thad Jones/Mel Lewis Jazz Orchestra, Clark Terry, Bill Evans, Joe’s Lovano and Henderson – finally leading to a 10 year musical relationship with the piano great Tommy Flanagan. George is a musician’s musician. As pianist Richie Beirach says, “He plays the exact note you want to hear and plays the bass as though he invented it.” So keen is his sense of what is appropriate. he can make himself positively translucent. Ethan Ardelli is one of the busiest drummers in Toronto and has played with numerous Canadian jazz personalities.
