2015 | Francophone Album of the Year | Serge Fiori | | The JUNO Awards

28 years after his last solo project, on March 4th 2014, Serge Fiori surprised all with the release of a new self titled album. Co-produced by Serge himself and Marc Pérusse, the SERGE FIORI album presents ten songs written by Serge and a brief instrumental epilogue composed by Marc. This deeply personal work is emblematic of a sensitive artist with a sharp and lucid perspective on the world, and was long awaited for by the thousands of fans of the founder/leader/singer/main songwriter of the legendary progressive folk-rock band Harmonium.
“Fiori does it with wit and poetic elegance… This one was worth waiting for.” says Bernard Perusse, The Gazette. “Serge Fiori is a national treasure. The new Fiori is brilliant” says Terry Dimonte of CHOM-FM.
A mere eight weeks after its release, the album was certified platinum by the Canadian Recording Industry Association (CRIA), recognizing sales of 80,000 copies. SERGE FIORI also ranked #1 in sales in Québec for eight consecutive weeks, and in Canada for two consecutive weeks, and is now approaching the 100,000 mark, proof positive of the deep and abiding connection fans have with the singer-songwriter.
