DESCRIPTION

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Digital Media, the Coordinator, Digital Media will be responsible for maintaining, and updating all online properties under the CARAS umbrella including, but not limited to, the websites for The JUNO Awards, MusiCounts, and Canadian Music Hall of Fame. They will work towards increasing traffic on our website, driving engagement, and fulfilling partner deliverables. They will also be responsible for executing digital marketing spends and targeted advertising on various social media platforms.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage all websites across CARAS and MusiCounts including back-end and front end execution, managing suppliers, and database management
  • Work closely with Manager, Marketing & Communications on the MusiCounts team to ensure consistent brand voice throughout MusiCounts digital properties
  • Liaise with the marketing department and execute digital marketing initiatives
  • Monitor and report on content marketing analytics, including website and social analytics. 
  • Collaborate in the planning, preparation, and execution of digital content
  • Support content production team with schedules, filming, etc.

TECHNICAL SKILLS

  • Familiarity with web design and content management systems, primarily WordPress
  • Knowledge of SEO, SEM and PPC Campaigns
  • Solid understanding of digital analytics with the ability to analyze and interpret data (Google Analytics, Brandwatch or similar provider)
  • Basic video editing skills required
  • Familiarity with graphic design. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, primarily PhotoShop and Illustrator

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • 1-3 years of relevant experience
  • Familiarity with HTML/CSS and content management systems, primarily WordPress
  • Some knowledge of SEO, SEM, and PPC Campaigns and/or willingness to learn 
  • Understanding of digital analytics with the ability to analyze and interpret data (Google Analytics, Brandwatch, or similar provider)
  • Basic video editing skills required
  • Familiarity with graphic design. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, primarily PhotoShop, Illustrator and Premiere
  • Ability to multitask and work under tight deadlines
  • Ability to process and organize data into digestible formats for internal/external teams.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong research skills and an ability to problem-solve
  • An interest in the breadth of Canadian music and a desire to learn about its history
  • A strong believer in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
  • Possess an understanding of the music and/or cultural industries is an asset
  • Bilingualism an asset
