Inside the 2025 JUNO Nominee Rollout
Bookmark this page for the most up-to-date details about the 2025 JUNO Nominee Announcement Day, scheduled for Tuesday, February 11, 2025.
Important: This year’s format is entirely new. Unlike previous years, there will be no daytime press conference to announce nominees. Instead, nominee information will be shared via a multi-step process involving exclusive media access, online content, press release and evening celebrations. Please pay close attention to the details below to ensure you’re fully prepared for these changes.
1. Schedule
To help you stay organized, here’s a breakdown of key activities on Tuesday, February 11, 2025:
- 8:00 AM – 10:00 AM: Select media outlets reveal six nominee categories ahead of the general nominee press release.
- 11:00 AM: The full nominee list is published online and promoted across social media.
- 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM: Virtual Media Room and CBC interview opportunities.
- 6 PM – 8:00 PM: An evening celebration event in Toronto.
This schedule ensures seamless publicity opportunities for all nominees.
2. Early Media Announcements vs General Announcement
Understanding the difference between Early Media Champion exclusives and the General Announcement is essential for planning your outreach:
Early Media Champions Announcement:
- Between 8:00 AM and 10:00 AM, select outlets will announce key categories. This provides early media buzz and sets the stage for the full reveal. Please note: early-announced categories are still TBD.
General Announcement:
- At 11:00 AM, the complete list of nominees will go live on junoawards.ca and CBC Music, supported by social content.
These staggered announcements maximize exposure for your artists.
