Praised by The New York Times for her “crystalline performances” and by The Boston Globe for her “effortless incisiveness,” pianist Katherine Dowling is celebrated for her expressive artistry as a soloist and chamber musician. She has performed across North America and Europe, appearing as artist-in-residence at the Orlando Festival (Netherlands) and as a fellow of the Tanglewood Music Center and Britten-Pears Young Artist Programme.
A co-director of the Regina Chamber Music Festival, Dowling appears on eight acclaimed recordings with Gruppo Montebello (Etcetera label), and her performances have been broadcast on CBC, BBC, and Radio 4 Netherlands. Recent highlights include Mozart’s Triple Concerto with Angela Hewitt and Silvie Cheng, her Vienna recital debut, and Florence Price’s Piano Concerto with the Regina Symphony Orchestra.
She is Assistant Professor of Piano at York University and holds a DMA from Stony Brook University.
