CC Duo (guitarists Adam Cicchillitti and Steve Cowan) and Montreal’s collectif9 are two of Canada’s most dynamic chamber ensembles, recognized for innovation, artistry, and commitment to new repertoire.

 CC Duo has set a benchmark in the guitar world through award-winning recordings, commissions, and international performances. In addition to active solo careers, they tour North America together, presenting original arrangements and Canadian works. They earned 2nd Prize (2023) and 3rd Prize (2021) at the Guitar Foundation of America’s International Ensemble Competition, the world’s leading guitar competition, and their three acclaimed albums have received multiple nominations, including Classical Recording of the Year at the 2021 East Coast Music Awards.

Known for their bold programming and multidisciplinary collaborations, collectif9 has performed across North America, Europe, and Asia. The nine-member string ensemble creates projects with composers, poets, visual artists, and lighting designers, reimagining the chamber music experience in amplified and acoustic settings. With four acclaimed albums and innovative film-concerts, collectif9 has received two JUNO nominations, cementing its reputation as one of Canada’s most adventurous ensembles.
