Ciel, real name Cindy Li, is a music producer, DJ, pianist, and radio presenter based in Toronto and originally from Xi’an China.
As one of the most prominent exports out of Toronto, she has graced the decks at world-class clubs like Berghain’s Panorama Bar, De School, Robert Johnson, Nowadays, and fabric.
Now becoming known as a prolific producer, Cindy has released music on labels such as Peach Discs, Naïve, Terrafirm, Ghostly International, Studio Barnhus, Mister Saturday Night, !K7 Records, Lucky Me, Planet Euphorique, Jacktone, XKalay, Unknown – Untitled, as well as Eris Drew’s Ecstatic Editions whilst collaborating with artists like D Tiffany, Dan Only, Priori, Ali Berger, & Kilig.
Being a founding member of the Toronto electronic music label Parallel Minds, Ciel is also a member of the globally recognized women and LGBTQIA+ DJ collective Discwoman and has produced a monthly radio show on Rinse FM in London, UK since 2018.
