A folk music legend, Sylvia Tyson’s impact on popular culture is immeasurable. A pillar of the Greenwich Village folk scene from 1959 through the 60’s as half of the groundbreaking duo Ian & Sylvia, they headlined NYC’s Carnegie Hall and topped the Billboard charts, all the while championing Village contemporaries Bob Dylan & Gordon Lightfoot by being the first popular artists to record their songs. Sylvia Tyson is a member of the Canadian Music Hall of Fame and a recipient of the Order of Canada, noted author, and television broadcast host and producer.
