At 21 years old, Jake Vaadeland is the youngest artist in Canadian history to achieve ‘Road Gold Certification’ for 25,000 tickets sold in one year in Canada. He has toured across Canada, supported The Dead South through the U.S., and played shows across Europe. The singer/songwriter who hails from Cut Knife, Saskatchewan released his latest record ‘Retro Man … More and More’ in 2024. The 12 track album was written entirely by Jake, and recorded live off the floor with his touring band ‘The Sturgeon River Boys’. He went on to win a Western Canadian Music Award for ‘Roots Artist of the Year’, along with multiple Saskatchewan Country Music Awards and Saskatchewan Music Awards. His traditional style and unique sound can be described as a mix of bluegrass, rockabilly and traditional country.
