Born in Lagos, Nigeria in the 90s, THEHONESTGUY is making a profound impact on the R&B/Soul space. Currently based between Montreal and Toronto, he blends melody and groove to embody the spirit and sound of R&B and funk, creating what he calls “FUNKY SOUL.”
With three projects released to date, THEHONESTGUY has captured audiences worldwide. His most recent project, “How To Make Love,” earned him a JUNO Award nomination for Best Traditional R&B/Soul Recording of the Year in 2023.
THEHONESTGUY is now preparing to release his highly anticipated Third EP, “Velvet Soul” and is coming off a sold out performance at the Montreal Jazz Festival in July.
