Saxophonist, clarinetist, and flutist, André Leroux is a versatile musician working in the fields of jazz, classical music, as well as contemporary and popular music. His career truly began in the mid-1980s. He played in several renowned ensembles, notably the Vic Vogel Big Band, where he was nicknamed “The Kid” by the Maestro. In 1986, he toured with the Montreal Saxophone Quartet under the auspices of Jeunesses Musicales of Canada. In 1987, during the first French Music Competition in Montreal, he won the Espace français scholarship as a soloist. Since then, his numerous collaborations have taken him to perform all over the world, including in China, Sweden, France, and Africa.
