2025 CONTEMPORARY INDIGENOUS ARTIST OR GROUP OF THE YEAR | Snotty Nose Rez Kids | | The JUNO Awards

Snotty Nose Rez Kids, the Indigenous hip-hop duo from the Haisla Nation in British Columbia, burst onto the music scene in 2016. With Yung Trybez and Young D at the helm, their sharp lyricism and storytelling were showcased in their first two albums, The Average Savage (2017) and Snotty Nose Rez Kids (2018). Their breakthrough came in 2019 with Trapline and the hit “Boujee Natives,” earning them their first JUNO Award nomination.

Known for their high-energy live shows, SNRK have performed over 100 shows across six countries. Their pandemic-era album, Life After, brought further industry recognition, and a second JUNO nomination in 2022. Their 2022 project, I’M GOOD, HBU?, landed them a fourth Polaris Prize shortlist, a win for Best Music Video at the Prism Prize Awards, and four Western Canadian Music Award nominations.

SNRK recently signed with Sony Music Entertainment Canada, continuing to dominate hip-hop releasing their latest album RED FUTURE on September 13, 2024, with a North American tour to support it.
