Mark Fewer, a renowned violinist and conductor, has captivated audiences at prestigious venues worldwide, collaborating with diverse ensembles and premiering over 200 works, many written for him. His acclaimed discography includes multiple Juno and Grammy-winning recordings, reflecting his versatility across genres. Deantha Edmunds, Canada’s first Inuk professional classical singer, was appointed a Member of the Order of Canada in 2023 for her contributions as a performer and composer. Her recent album, “Alikeness,” features her original song-cycle and showcases her dedication to Indigenous storytelling. Deantha’s performances resonate both nationally and internationally, empowering Indigenous voices through music.

The Newfoundland Symphony Orchestra, founded in 1962, has grown into an 84-member semi-professional ensemble that enriches Newfoundland and Labrador’s cultural landscape. With its professional NSO Sinfonia and resident Atlantic String Quartet, the NSO presents a dynamic concert series that fosters community engagement and appreciation for orchestral music.
