Waahli is an artist-musician of Haitian descent based in Montreal. He is a founding member of Hip Hop group Nomadic Massive. Following the release of his 1st solo album entitled Black Soap in 2018, Waahli toured Canada, US and Europe. In 2020, he released Soap Opera, an outstanding EP that mixes Hip-Hop, Haitian and Afro-Caribbean influences. With hip hop culture as his foundation, Waahli has shared the stage with renowned artists on an international level. Waahli tours and performs with his live band. HIs energetic performance leaves the audience wanting more. He uses his multidisciplinary skills to branch out and express himself by painting a thoughtful musical landscape. Integrating elements of afrofuturism in the aesthetic of his sounds, Waahli brings an authentic voice by bridging his ancestral past to the present and future. In 2020, Soap Opera charted #1 in the Canadian Earshot National Hip Hop Chart. His first single entitled , ”Bliye Sa” was co-produced by JUNO award winner Boogat. Waahli performed at the Montreal Jazz Festival International 2022. In the Fall of 2022 Waahli released his new album “Soap Box”. His album Soap Box was Album of the year in the category of multilingual/other languages at L”ADISQ.
