Originally from Nigeria, Toronto-based musician THEHONESTGUY blends R&B, funk and soul music to create what he calls “THE FUNKY SOUL.” With a strong penchant for melody and groove that is often compared to the likes of Earth, Wind, and Fire, and D’Angelo, THEHONESTGUY is a soulful sonic tour de force. His debut project “Love Songs for No One” was released FEBRUARY 2021 culminating in over a million streams and critical acclaim. Since its release THEHONESTGUY has gone on to be included in CBC and SPOTIFY’S Top songs of 2021 as well as tour Ontario in collaboration with Interac & Metro.
THEHONESTGUY follows up his debut EP with HOW TO MAKE LOVE which officially releases NOVEMBER 4TH 2022. The 6 track EP sees the artist masterfully blend Funk, R&B and soul and has accumulated over 700k streams with its single releases.
