Kairo McLean made Canadian history as the youngest Juno winner in Reggae.
The 14-year-old prodigy. Some of you may know that Kairo began his musical journey at a very young age and excelled at performing at music festivals all over Canada.
He continues to be influenced by some of the greatest such as Bob Marley, James Brown, Michael Jackson and Stevie Ray Vaughan. These artists have made a tremendous impact on the world and Kairo is actively following in their footsteps.
The multitalented SINGJAY recently made his recording debut with the release of a four-track EP titled Easy Now. Produced by Canadian musician Tim Dubs, the EP was released on the 16th of April on Willow Records label and garnered a Juno for Reggae Recording Of The Year (2022). Since receiving such a tremendous Canadian accolade, Kairo has gone on to perform at Harbour Front, SinTing Festival and The Zaagidiwin Luminato festival just to mention a few. Kairo has also had the honour of performing with 5 time Juno award winner Exco Levi, Juno Award winner Kirk Diamond, Blessed and nominees Sunshine & Broccoli.
Kairo McLean was born in Toronto, Ontario, on the 15th of July 2008. His father, Garvin McLean, and his mother, Gamlynne Ferdinand and sisters Alyshia and Shawnice have supplied and supported Kairo with strong family values. Kairo’s new single “In The Streets” produced by Soul Survival Records is currently positioned on the Canadian Reggae Chart and is climbing quickly to the #1 spot.
