Gus van Go is a Juno-nominated producer best known for his work with Metric, The Beaches, Arkells, and Sam Roberts. He has also produced and mixed albums for Whitehorse, Said The Whale, Glorious Sons, Anyway Gang, The Trews, Hollerado, The Stills, and Priestess.

Gus’ work as a producer and mixer has led him to receive multiple JUNO award nominations, and two wins: The Stills’ album Ocean’s Will Rise won Alternative Album of the Year in 2010, and Whitehorse’s album Leave No Bridge Unburned won Adult-Alternative Album of the Year in 2016.

Three of his Albums with French-Canadian group Les Cowboys Fringants have won Quebec’s ADISQ awards for Album of the Year, including “Octobre” which achieved gold status in 2019.

Van Go began his musical career as front-man for the seminal indie-band Me Mom & Morgentaler. The band established a loyal cult following in the mid-90s, and were known for their theatrical live shows. In 1999, over 10,000 people attended the band’s farewell show in Quebec City.

He is currently at work on new music with the The Beaches, Lowell, Montreal bands Fleece and Trois Accords, as well as more work with Metric.
