Powerhouse trio Vishtèn has been dazzling audiences with its fiery blend of traditional Acadian songs and original instrumentals that fuse trad genres with a modern rock sensibility and indie-folk influences. Lauded as “traditional but fiercely up-to-the-moment,” they have been recognized as ambassadors of Francophone culture around the world. Emmanuelle and Pastelle LeBlanc from Prince Edward Island join musical forces with Pascal Miousse from the Magdalen Islands to create a sophisticated sonic signature that combines tight vocal harmonies and virtuoso acoustic instrumentation.

The infectious rhythms of percussive feet and lilting mouth music blend seamlessly with the fiddle, electric guitar and piano, accordion, mandolin, whistles, bodhrán and jaw harp to offer a musical experience that illustrates their wide sense of the world and breathes new energy and beauty into traditional sounds.
