Toronto-based percussionist and composer Kristofer Maddigan has been a member of the National Ballet of Canada Orchestra since 2010, and plays regularly with groups such as the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, The National Arts Center Orchestra, and The Esprit Orchestra. On the drum set, Kris is a regular freelancer in the jazz scene and plays frequently with the Devah Quartet.
As a composer, Kristofer wrote the original score for the critically lauded video game 'Cuphead', the soundtrack of which debuted at no.9 on the Billboard Jazz Charts the week of release, and was the no.1 top seller on the digital music site Bandcamp shortly thereafter. Cuphead went on to sell over 1 million copies within two weeks of release. Kris has also contributed music for the ongoing brain science/art installation 'My Virtual Dream', which premiered at Toronto's Nuit Blanche festival in 2013.
Kris holds an Artist's Diploma in percussion performance from the prestigious Glenn Gould School at the Royal Conservatory of Music, and has continued studies with the renowned jazz teachers Jim Blackley and Order of Canada recipient Terry Clarke.
