Nickelback released their eighth studio album, No Fixed Address, in November 2014, via Republic Records. Frequent collaborator Chris Lord-Alge returned to mix some of the tracks on the album. The lead single from the album, “Edge of a Revolution”, was described as a “departure” for Nickelback and a political song. The lead pop single, ”What Are You Waiting For?,” was released as a single on digital retailers on September 9, 2014, impacting Hot AC radio stations on September 22 according to Republic Records’ radio site.
