Calgary native, Tareya Green, and Richmond Hill born, Mike Robins, first met in a writing session for what was then to be Green’s solo project. From the moment they started writing together, something just clicked; in fact the very first song they wrote together went on to be the title track of their debut album, Favourite Mistake. The duo’s rise has been nothing less than meteoric, starting with the launch of their debut single, “Anything At All,” in the fall of 2012. Country radio stations across Canada instantly embraced the song, and in a few short weeks, it settled into the top of the charts for a very long run. The duo’s fall 2013 album release went on to spawn three more chart topping country singles, “Can’t Keep Waiting”, “Fire” and “If She Wants This Town” – a pretty impressive accomplishment for a first outing by a brand new group. With the March 2015, release of the debut single, “Blame,” from their new album, Anchor, the duo quickly dispelled any concerns of a sophomore jinx. “Blame” quickly rocketed to an all-time new height for the group peaking at #4 on the Canadian country charts and #1 on the CMT Top 20 countdown – a position that had not been achieved by a Canadian group since Emerson Drive back in 2007.
