Braids is a three-piece experimental pop band from Montréal. Braids was formed in 2007 by long-time friends in Calgary, AB. After relocating to Montréal, the band released their critically acclaimed debut Native Speaker in 2011, followed by Flourish // Perish in 2013, and their recent third album, Deep In The Iris, in 2015. Consisting of Raphaelle Standell, Austin Tufts and Taylor Smith, Braids is a collaborative whole, emphasizing a collective creative experience.
