Henry Walter, a.k.a. Cirkut, is an award-winning music producer and songwriter. He works with the who’s who of Pop Music, including Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus, Usher, Rihanna, Nicki Minaj, and Taylor Swift. He has won several ASCAP awards, was nominated for a Grammy for best song in 2014, and won the Jack Richardson Producer of the Year Award at the 2014 JUNO Awards. He continues to write and produce chart-topping hits such as Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 hit “Dark Horse” by Katy Perry, adding to an impressive list of over 15 tracks that have placed a top 10 or higher on Billboard – and he’s not even 30 yet.
Walter was raised in Halifax and moved to Toronto in 2004 and formed the band Let’s Go To War with partner Adrian Gough. Walter opened Dream House Recording Studios with partners Gough and Alex Bonenfant in 2010, and also owns Dream Machine Publishing and Dream Machine Management with Gough.
In recent years Walter relocated to Los Angeles, California to work with Luke “Dr. Luke” Gottwald’s production team at Prescription Songs. He has been described by the Hollywood Reporter as Dr. Luke’s “right-hand man and main production partner”.
