Sloan is four distinct songwriting voices: guitarists Patrick Pentland and Jay Ferguson, bassist Chris Murphy and drummer Andrew Scot that nonetheless form a cohesive collective. They are long-time Toronto scenesters who will always call Halifax home.
It’s hard to believe that Sloan has been cranking out power pop hallmarks for two decades and they commemorated this with the release of their tenth studio album, THE DOUBLE CROSS on the Outside Music Label.
Over the past 20 years, Sloan has become a household name in Canada. Beginning in 1991 Sloan left their respective bands to join forces and as they say, the rest is Canadian rock history.
