2012 | Reggae Recording of the Year | Dubmatix | | The JUNO Awards

Musical maverick, Dubmatix (Jesse King) is a composer, producer and multi-instrumentalist (who plays no less than seven instruments). He has arranged and mixed all of his releases as well as dozens of other artists. Dubmatix is a multiple JUNO Award nominee and winner who is fast becoming known for his keen sense of musical arrangements and production style after the success of three Billboard chart-topping Reggae remixes for The Easy Star All-Stars and “John Brown’s Body.” Recent projects include collaborations and remixes for USS / Down With Webster and Delhi 2 Dublin.

The past year has been a musical whirlwind for Dubmatix filled with tours, new releases, as well as being hand-picked as the music supervisor/contributor for a documentary by Rita & Bob Marley’s grand daughter, Donisha. In addition, in 2011 Dubmatix received several international awards, including Best Dub Album Award (France), Dub Album of the Year (Germany), Best Recording & Production Album of The Year (Portugal) and UK’s 5-Star best selling sample disc “Reggae Sound Clash” (by Loopmasters). Dubmatix is capping off a busy 2011 with new singles featuring Earl Zero, Luciano, Eek-A-Mouse and Half Pint as well as working on his 5th studio album due out in 2012.
