2012 | Children's Album of the Year | Charlie Hope | | The JUNO Awards

Charlie Hope spent her childhood in Toronto and Boston harmonizing with her sister and in her school choirs. Charlie’s fresh approach to children’s music stems from the many years she has spent with children — from receiving her degree in Art Therapy with Children to the preschools and private homes where she was a trusted caregiver. Charlie believes that music is vital to a child’s overall wellbeing.
Her debut album I’M ME! garnered much critical praise. It was nominated for a JUNO Award and won Best Song and Best Album in the US Independent Music Awards. The follow-up, WORLD OF DREAMS, continued Charlie’s tradition of respecting and reflecting the experiences of children, only this time in a soothing lullaby form. Charlie’s most recent release, SONGS, STORIES AND FRIENDS: LET’S GO PLAY! takes the listener on a journey to the playground with songs, verses and spoken word. Reviews praise her “unforced sunny spirit and her youthful, sweet and clear-as-a-bell soprano,” and describe the songs as “sparkly and joyful, with Hope’s bright, clear voice carrying the tune.” When not touring all corners of North America, Canadian singer-songwriter Charlie Hope resides in Seattle, Washington.
