TORONTO – March 13 — Today, The Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (CARAS) and CBC announced the latest additions to the performer lineup and award recipients for The 54th Annual JUNO Awards. Anne Murray, the most JUNO Awarded artist in history, will take to the JUNOS stage to receive the Lifetime Achievement Award presented by the National Arts Centre/Centre National des Arts. This marks a significant moment as Anne Murray will be the first artist recipient of the honour, which is being awarded for the first time since Pierre Juneau, The JUNO Awards’ namesake, received it in 1989. “Canada’s National Arts Centre has been honoured to support countless Canadian performing artists from the beginning of their careers to the international stage, including this year’s honouree, Anne Murray,” says Christopher Deacon, President and CEO of the National Arts Centre.

New performers joining the already electrifying lineup will be Elisapie, Jonita Gandhi, Maestro Fresh Wes and Roxane Bruneau for a can’t miss performance with host Michael Bublé. British Columbia’s own bbno$, Peach Pit, Chani Nattan, Inderpal Moga and Jazzy B with GMINXR will also perform for their hometown crowd. 

The all-star lineup of presenters continues with Joel and Benji Madden, of Good Charlotte, coming to the JUNOS stage to introduce Sum 41’s induction into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame, Presented by JUNOS Premier Sponsor, TD Bank Group. Set to release her new album Paid in Memories on March 28, five-time JUNO Award winner Jessie Reyez will present Boi-1da with the International Achievement Award and 2024 Performers and JUNO Award winners The Beaches will present TikTok JUNO Fan Choice. CBC’s Allan Hawco from hit series SAINT-PIERRE and Anna Lambe from acclaimed comedy NORTH OF NORTH will also take the stage to present during The JUNO Awards Broadcast. Host Michael Bublé will also present the 20th anniversary edition of MusiCounts Teacher of the Year Award, presented by Anthem Entertainment.

The 54th Annual JUNO Awards, produced by Insight Productions (a Boat Rocker company), will broadcast and stream live across Canada from Rogers Arena in Vancouver on March 30th at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT on CBC TV, CBC Gem, CBC Radio One, CBC Music, CBC Listen, and globally at CBCMusic.ca/junos and CBC Music’s YouTube page. Anne Murray is a Canadian music icon whose signature voice and time-honoured music have defined a career spanning over five decades. A trailblazer in pop, country, and adult contemporary music, her catalogue globally has surpassed 1 billion streams (and counting), and she has sold over 55 million albums worldwide, paving the way for artists such as Céline Dion, Shania Twain, kd lang, Alanis Morissette, and Sarah McLachlan. Her music continues to resonate across generations, marking life’s most meaningful moments. During her illustrious career, Murray received four Grammys, a record-breaking 25 JUNOS (and still holds the title of most awarded artist in JUNOS history), three American Music Awards, three Country Music Association Awards, and three Canadian Country Music Association Awards. She is a Companion of the Order of Canada — the highest honour that can be awarded to a Canadian civilian — and in 2007, Canada Post issued a limited-edition Anne Murray Stamp. Chani Nattan is a lyrical virtuoso whose poetic storytelling and cultural narratives have captivated his fans and listeners. His profound understanding of the human experience is masterfully expressed in his music, particularly in the evocative hit “Daku,” which has propelled him to global recognition. Chani’s collaborations, while notable for their star-studded lineups, are underscored by his unique lyrical flair, which stands as the heartbeat of each track. His songs have become anthems within the Punjabi diaspora. With each verse, Chani Nattan weaves a narrative that is both authentic and revolutionary, his music not only crossing cultural boundaries but also uniting listeners through shared emotions. Chani is nominated for South Asian Music Recording of the Year Presented by TD alongside Inderpal Moga and Jazzy B.

Elisapie

Elisapie

Elisapie’s music has always integrated Inuit themes and vivid storytelling. Today, Elisapie is an emblematic Canadian Inuk singer-songwriter. Since winning her first JUNO Award in 2005 with Taima, her band at the time, Elisapie’s body of work has been frequently praised. In 2024, she won the Contemporary Indigenous Artist of the Year Award Presented by Destination Indigenous at the JUNOS, which contributed to selling out many of the 90 concerts in support of her album “Inuktitut” in Canada, the U.S., Europe and Australia. Elisapie’s unconditional attachment to her territory and her language, Inuktitut, remains at the core of her creative journey. This millenary language embodies the harshness of the environment and the wild beauty of the Inuit territory. Always surrounded by the best musicians from the Montreal indie and folk scenes, Elisapie makes her culture resonate with finesse by mixing modernity and tradition. Elisapie is nominated for two JUNOS this year including Album of the Year Presented by Music Canada and Adult Alternative Album of the Year Presented by Long & McQuade Musical Instruments.

GMINXR

GMINXR

Gugundeep Singh Randhawa, professionally known as GMINXR (pronounced “G Minor”), is an Indo-Canadian record producer renowned for his influential contributions to the Punjabi music scene. Born in Punjab, India, he later relocated to Victoria, British Columbia, Canada, where he co-founded Run-Up Records alongside artists AP Dhillon, Gurinder Gill, and Shinda Kahlon. Gminxr gained prominence through his innovative fusion of Western hip-hop elements with traditional Punjabi folk music, creating a distinctive sound that resonates globally. He will DJ the collaborative performance by Chani Nattan, Inderpal Moga, and Jazzy B.

Inderpal Moga

Inderpal Moga is a Canadian singer and songwriter known for his contributions to the Punjabi music industry. Hailing from Surrey, British Columbia, he has collaborated extensively with fellow Surrey-based artists, notably lyricist Chani Nattan. Their partnership has produced several popular tracks, including “Drip,” “Innocent,” and the widely acclaimed “Daku,” which amassed significant streams and views across various platforms. Through his collaborations and solo projects, Inderpal Moga continues to influence the evolving landscape of Punjabi music, resonating with audiences both in Canada and internationally.​ Inderpal is nominated for South Asian Music Recording of the Year Presented by TD alongside Chani Nattan and Jazzy B.

Jazzy B

Jazzy B (Jaswinder Singh Bains), known as the “Crown Prince of Bhangra,” is an internationally recognized Indo-Canadian Punjabi singer.  Born in Durgapur Punjab, India, and raised in Vancouver, Canada, Jazzy B rose to fame in the early 1990s with his unique fusion of traditional Punjabi Folk music and contemporary styles, creating a sound that appeals to both Eastern and Western audiences. He has preserved the traditions of Punjabi Folk music, which were handed down to him by his idol, Ustad Kuldeep Manak Ji, while also seamlessly blending Western genres of Hip-Hop, Rap, R&B, Pop, and Urban music for over 30 years. His charismatic stage presence and iconic fashion sense have also made him a cultural icon, cementing his legacy as one of the most influential figures in the world of Punjabi music over the past three decades. Jazzy B is nominated for South Asian Music Recording of the Year Presented by TD alongside Chani Nattan and Inderpal Moga.

Vancouver’s own Peach Pit’s fourth album Magpie is a masterclass in expansive arrangement and deeply felt songwriting—a winning formula that only continues the incredible trajectory the

band’s been on since their star-making debut EP Sweet FA in 2016. The eleven songs captured on Magpie find the quartet—lead singer Neil Smith, guitarist Chris Vanderkooy, bassist Peter Wilton, and drummer Mikey Pascuzzi—diving deeper into classic sounds while honing a musical style that entirely feels like their own.
