TORONTO, ON – September 21, 2026 – The road to The 2027 JUNO Awards starts today. The Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (CARAS) announced that submissions for the 2027 JUNO Awards Presented by TD are officially open, inviting eligible Canadian artists and music creators to put their work forward for consideration.
This year’s submissions follow a series of category and eligibility updates designed to better reflect how Canadian music is made and released today, creating clearer pathways for artists across genres and formats to have their work recognized.

MORE WAYS FOR CANADIAN MUSIC TO BE RECOGNIZED
For 2027, updates across Rap, Electronic/Dance, Reggae/Dancehall and Contemporary Christian/Gospel reflect evolving genres and the ways artists release music, while eligibility updates across Jazz and Classical categories recognize how artists create and collaborate.
Beatport has also joined the list of eligible streaming platforms, and recording categories define eligible singles, EPs and albums.

The 56th Annual JUNO Awards will be broadcast live on CBC from Canada Life Centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba, on Sunday, April 4, 2027. JUNO Week runs from April 1 to 4, 2027.
