POSITION DETAILS: Internship – 4 months from Start Date
START DATE: Hiring Immediately
COMPENSATION: $17.60/hour

ORGANIZATION SUMMARY

The Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (CARAS) was formed in 1975 to preserve and enhance the Canadian music industry and to contribute towards higher artistic and industry standards. CARAS’ mandate is comprised of four key pillars: Educate through our music education charity MusiCounts’ programs and initiatives, Develop emerging artists through mentorship and development programs, Celebrate Canadian artists through The JUNO Awards and other year-round initiatives, and Honour music industry icons through the Canadian Music Hall of Fame.

OVERALL POSITION

The Intern, Partnerships will support the CARAS Partnerships department in preparing sponsorship materials and coordinating partner-related activities. This role provides hands-on experience in partnership management and event support while helping ensure the smooth execution of CARAS’ core initiatives.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist the Partnerships team in supporting day-to-day activities to drive partner engagement and success
  • Help research and prospect potential brand partners
  • Develop customized pitch materials and presentations aligned with the objectives of prospective brand sponsors
  • Assist with coordination and preparation for 2026 JUNO Week partner activities and other CARAS milestones, including tracking deliverables and assets
  • Take notes during internal and external meetings and help maintain organized documentation, including proposals, contracts, approvals, and asset inventory tracking
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth execution of partnership initiatives and activations

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Previous experience or strong interest in sponsorship, partnerships and brand activation
  • Strong presentation design skills, including layout, formatting, and visual storytelling
  • Outstanding attention to detail
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to stay calm under pressure
  • Highly resourceful with strong time management skills
  • Professional, organized, and able to juggle multiple priorities at once
  • Comfortable working on-site 
  • Interested in music and culture and how brands are activating in sponsorship 
  • Experience working in events is considered an asset
