2012 | Electronic Album of the Year | Arthur Oskan | | The JUNO Awards

Arthur got an early start on making music. In the 90’s he was focused on learning as much as possible from studio guru’s such as Georgio Moroder, Vince Clark and Alan Wilder in addition to industrial acts Nitzer Ebb, Cetu Javu and Front 242. Equipped only with a sampler, drum machine, keyboard and a 4-track he got to work. The next decade saw Arthur release demos under a variety of different monikers. It was these demos that drew the attention of a few different Toronto club promoters and international DJs. Arthur’s music was used by John Digweed, James Holden and Hernan Cattaneo on compilations while locally he was out in the clubs playing every weekend. A LITTLE MORE THAN EVERYTHING, Arthur’s most recent album, has seen Oskan complete the journey he initially set out on, as it is truly a record that works in your living room and on the dancefloor.
