Kellie Loder, 23 years old, is a growing and talented musician, and singer/songwriter from Newfoundland & Labrador, Canada. At age 15, her ability to write songs had flourished. Kellie wrote “Giants” reflecting the biblical story of David and Goliath, which became her signature composition.
She went on to release her first album “The Way” produced by Devin Robinson (Sweet Music) in August (2009), which sold over 900 copies. Kellie followed by performing as the opening act for influential artist such as JUNO award winning singer/songwriter Amanda Falk.
In October (2009), Kellie was awarded an artist development package by YC NL for her song “Giants”, valued at $20,000. (www.ycnl.ca). This award led her to perform opening acts for Matt Maher and Starfield.
In October (2010), “Imperfections & Directions” produced by Peter Newman (NewManiac Studios) and mixed by Nashville, TN’s Tom Laune of Bridgeway Studio (Michael W. Smith, Amy Grant, Bruce Springsteen, Cece Winans, Michael McDonald), was released at YC NL in the Gander Community Center where she took main stage.
The track “Raise You Higher” from the sophomore album received Christian and non-Christian radio play across Canada and was selected for numerous countdowns, including CT 20.
Recently, Kellie opened for Stellar Kart at YC NL 2011.
