Renowned as a “born soloist” with “complete fluency in all registers, well-controlled technique and beautiful tone,” Canadian flutist Susan Hoeppner has made appearances in various prestigious venues throughout North and South America, Europe and Asia.
Hoeppner has collaborated and performed with a number of Canadian and internationally renowned artists and musicians, namely Judy Loman, Steven Dann, Erica Goodman, Joaquin Valdepenas, Amanda Forsyth, Beverly Johnston, Lydia Wong, Anton Kuerti, Marc-André Hamelin, and Robert Kortgaard, Renée Fleming, Measha Brueggergosman and Ben Heppner.
Frequently heard on CBC Radio 2, and live broadcasts on Bravo! Television, Hoeppner teaches at the University of Toronto and the Royal Conservatory’s Glenn Gould School, as well as Domaine Forget in Charlevoix, Quebec and The Julius Baker Masterclass in New York City.
Her latest CD, AMERICAN FLUTE MASTERPIECES, is one of Hoeppner’s many recordings. Her work appears on Marquis Classics, EMI Classics, Grammophon, JVC Victor, and King Record labels.
