We have designed our media areas to facilitate interview and photo opportunities throughout JUNO Week 2019 and look to accredit as many legitimate media outlets as possible. As space is very limited this year, we may not be able to accommodate everyone. We would appreciate media cooperation in keeping attending staff to the absolute minimum necessary to cover JUNO Week 2019.
Media accreditation will only be open to media outlets and photo agencies, requests from individuals or freelancers will not be considered. Individuals submitting an application must be on staff at the outlet or agency and have the legal authority to enter into the media agreement on behalf of the media outlet.
Exceptions will be made for freelance media (including photographers) who have submitted a Letter of Assignment/Legal Authorization as detailed in the Media Credentials application.
Consideration for media accreditation to cover JUNO Week 2019 including The 2019 JUNO Awards Gala Dinner and Broadcast will be based upon a number of elements, among them:
- Reach and influence of the outlet, based upon verifiable circulation, website traffic, viewer or listenership statistics, demographic and geographic saturation, etc.
- First to be considered will be outlets with international reach, then national, regional and local, in that order
- In the case of foreign media, priority consideration will be given to outlets with the highest reach
- For outlets requesting JUNO Week 2019 accreditation for the first time, the scope and quality of previous coverage of other entertainment industry awards and related events will apply. All media who have covered JUNO Week in the past, the scope and quality of previous coverage will be taken into consideration. If we did not see coverage from previous years, this will be taken into account when considering your application.
All new outlets are required to submit examples of their coverage of other entertainment industry awards.
All accreditation requests must be submitted via online application https://junoawards.ca/press/media-accreditation/ by Friday February 8, 2019 at 5pm ET. Late submissions will not be considered for the 48th Annual JUNO Awards.
Accreditation applications are evaluated each year. Being accredited in the past does not guarantee you will be accredited again. We will try to accommodate as many media outlets as possible for the JUNO Gala Dinner & Awards and The 2019 JUNO Awards Broadcast, but due to space limitations it may be necessary to accredit some media for only one of these events.
Please note: If attendance is confirmed for any JUNO Week events and there is a no-show without notice/reason, we reserve the right to revoke credentials for any and all remaining events. Please only rsvp if you are sure you can attend.
If you RSVP for the JUNO Gala Dinner & Awards, or the 2019 JUNO Awards Broadcast, attendance to both events is mandatory. You cannot attend the Gala without the Broadcast or vice versa. If there is a special exception needed, please let us know.
