Five music industry pros walk into a room with one goal: to whittle down a crop of 10 talented emerging artists to three winners. After an intense day of deliberation, the votes have been cast and the results are in! We’re thrilled to introduce you to the winners of the third annual Allan Slaight JUNO Master Class:
Caveboy is a three-piece dream-pop group from Montreal, QC. Check out their music video for “Raconteur”!
Hailing from London, ON, Ivory Hours brings their distinct alternative rock sound to the Master Class. Watch their music video for “Shadow Kids”!
A hip-hop artist from Halifax, NS, Quake Matthews brings some east coast flair to the mix. Check out his music video for “Just Another Love Story”!
The three winners were determined by our Super Jury comprising of JUNO-winning artists Kardinal Offishall, Lights, and Max Kerman (Arkells), JUNO-winning producer Gavin Brown, Ali Slaight (Talent Development Coordinator, Slaight Music), and Allan Reid (President & CEO, CARAS/The JUNO Awards & MusiCounts).
