Feb 09, 2016

Do we have some news for you! The 2016 JUNO nominees are out and we couldn’t be more thrilled!

The JUNO Nominee Press Conference on February 2 had the crowd buzzing about this year’s biggest acts in Canadian music.

To kick off the event, Calgary native Transit performed his rap song “Alberta Anthem”, which left everyone daydreaming of a JUNOS road trip out west. The Awards are only two months away! Here’s a taste of where we’re headed!

Far away from C-Town, Toronto’s Phoenix Concert Theatre filled with national pride as CARAS named the artists to be celebrated April 3rd, 2016 at the Scotiabank Saddledome.

Among a long list of talented nominees is Toronto’s very own Scott Helman, who sang his catchy pop single “Bungalow” at the press conference. See the full list of nominees.

The Awards are sure to be unforgettable! The 2016 roster is growing with artists ready to strap on their cowboy boots and hit the JUNO stage! Along with Alessia Cara, we’re happy to announce performances by Bryan Adams, Dean Brody, Shawn Mendes and The Weeknd. So saddle up, it’s going to be a wild ride!

And don’t forget to show your squad some love! Voting for JUNO Fan Choice Award is now open!
