FUNDS AVAILABLE FOR JUNO WEEKEND TRAVEL

Once again the Radio Starmaker Fund is making grants available to assist with your JUNO Awards weekend travel. These funds are available to independent JUNO nominated artists who are not receiving funding from any major label and plan to travel to the JUNO Awards during the weekend of April 19-21, 2013. The grants range from $500 per solo artist or a maximum of $3000 per band. If you are nominated as a solo artist your grant status will be determined accordingly by your nomination. (i.e.: If you are nominated as Jane Doe you will be unable to apply for a grant as the Jane Doe Band)

TO QUALIFY FOR THE GRANT YOU MUST FIT THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA:

• Current 2013 JUNO Award nominee – grants are available to independent recording artists only
• Provide written confirmation that you are attending the JUNO Awards – this includes both the Saturday JUNO Gala Dinner & Awards and Sunday live JUNO Awards Broadcast
• Complete attached application form PROCEDURE:

  Fax or email completed application form with written confirmation of your attendance to CARAS to the attention of Cortney Butler 416.485.4978 or cortney@junoawards.ca as soon as possible, indicating that you would like to apply for the travel grant. Please include your legal name, stage name and list all members of your band (if applicable).

  Please note these grants are awarded ONLY to artists who have confirmed their attendance. This grant is to assist in offsetting travel costs and therefore will not be issued to individuals who do not provide written confirmation that they will be attending the 2013 JUNO Awards.

  Grants will be awarded with consideration to the following:

  1. Applicationreceived–willbeawardedonafirstcomefirstservebasis

2. Genrediversity–willbeallocatedtoassistasmanymusicgenrespossible
3. JUNO Weekend participation – special consideration will be taken for those

   performing in the various weekend events

*The first round of grants will be issued March 5, 2013. Only successful applicants will be notified. Please remember this money would not be made possible without the Radio Starmaker Fund. We expect all successful applicants to personally thank the Radio Starmaker Fund.
