NIELSEN MUSIC JOINS FORCES WITH THE CANADIAN ACADEMY OF RECORDING ARTS AND SCIENCES FOR THE 2017 JUNO AWARDSDec 13, 2016
The company will serve as the exclusive data provider for the 2017 awards
New York, NY – December 13, 2016 – Nielsen (NYSE: NLSN) and The Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (CARAS) announced today that Nielsen Music will serve as the exclusive data provider for the biggest night in Canadian music – the JUNO Awards.
The JUNO Awards will take place in Ottawa over two nights, on April 1 with the JUNO Gala Dinner & Awards and then on April 2 at the Canadian Tire Centre. The 2017 JUNO Awards Broadcast will air on CTV and feature a number of special musical performances, including Shawn Mendes. CARAS will leverage Nielsen’s trusted music data and insights to aide in the selection of this year’s JUNO nominees.
